Making Our Home in Istanbul

We've been here six weeks and have just figured out how to blog. It has been a lovely adjustment. There are already hundreds of photos, many of which we want to share here. We've decided to post them in increments, organized in much the same way that we acclimated to our new home: ever increasing circles of exploration. We'll start small, right around our house. New images stretching to every corner of the city posted daily. Thanks for taking a look!

The top of the hill where we live, looking down to the Halic, or the Golden Horn.

From the balcony of our house.  The slice of visible water is the Halic.

From our balcony.  Chicken coops top left.

Heading up the hill to our house.

Shane on our street.  The green house next to his ear is where we live.

Our home.  We are looking out of the living room window on the second floor.
